February 24 - March 11, 2025
I spent another two amazing weeks on Christmas Island. The Island, known as Kiritimati (pronounced Christmas), is about 1200 miles south of Hawaii. For the last ten years, Guy Schoenborn and I have each hosted three weeks a year at The Villages on Christmas Island.
May 30 - June 6, 2023
After being closed to travel since March of 2020, Christmas Island reopened on May 2nd this year. During the fifth week of operation, there was a last-minute cancellation at the Lodge that I was able to fill with six anglers plus myself.
Oct. 31 - Nov. 7, 2023
At the end of October, I hosted my first group since the Pandemic on Christmas Island. As some of you know, the Island was closed to tourism for over three years—from mid-February 2020 to May 2023. We typically host six weeks a year here, and the closure was a huge disappointment for our anglers.
